Akeela, Inc. is a 501c non-profit organization offering a comprehensive array of services for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, and alcohol abuse, in Anchorage, Alaska and other communities throughout the state. Founded in 1974 as "Future House", within a couple years, the name was changed to Akeela House. The name has gone through a couple metamorphoses, but Akeela has remained a core part of the name.
Akeela has a staff of nearly 75 professionals.
